Official sources & independence
Tulip Talk is an independent language-learning app. It is not a government entity and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Dutch government, DUO, the IND, or any municipality. We cannot register you for an exam or decide your integration requirement.
Exam rules, fees, dates and integration requirements change, and the official source is always the one that counts.
Civic integration and the exams (Inburgering)
None of this is decided by us. Under the Wet inburgering 2021 your municipality sets your route in your personal integration plan; DUO handles the exams and your deadline; the IND decides residence permits and assesses naturalisation applications, which are granted by Royal Decree.

DUO (Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs)
The official civic integration portal: which exams you sit, what they cost, how to book them, and your personal deadline.

DUO
What the KNM exam actually asks, how long it takes and how it is scored. DUO calls this component KNM; this app's internal routes and tables still say "KNS".

DUO
Where each exam is actually sat, and which locations take which exam. The KNM content page does not answer this — it describes what the exam asks, not where you go.

wetten.overheid.nl
The Regeling inburgering 2021. Article 3.2 and Bijlage 2 set the eindtermen the KNM exam is built from — the renewed set in force since 1 July 2025. This is the primary text; inburgeren.nl publishes no eindtermen page at all.
